
About Me:
Composer and Keyboardist Philip Henry Garcia began studying music in high school where he performed in the PIT in the Monsignor Farrell High School Marching Band. He started taking Piano lessons in 2015 with pianist Masha Dubravin.
In 2016, he was accepted into the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College where he earned his BA in Music, studying piano with Konstantza Chernov and premiering new compositions in the Queens College New Music Group. He earned his MA in Music Composition at Hunter College and study alongside Professors Shafer Mahoney, Suzanne Farrin, and David Fulmer. There he would win the first ever Hunter Symphony Orchestra Call for Scores with his 2021 work, 2019 Overture.

Philip Henry Garcia currently teaches piano privately and plays keyboards with the Staten Island Snugs and Visions NYC.
